I’m ending this year with this beautiful sunset photo I got from Camps Bay Capetown. Looking back at my year I have had many highs and enough lows and in all honesty the year wouldn’t be memorable if the lows didn’t exist.
I am a victim of putting too much pressure on myself and I bet at one point or another you have done that to yourself. This is why 2018 should be about YOU. Focusing inward, rather than outward. Less comparison; more introverted, personal goals. Things that will actually make you smile and feel good and from a calm healthy place.
It is so easy to feel like you just don’t match up with people around you. Everyday we are bombarded with images of utter perfection on social media. Perfect pictures with perfect lives, perfect relationships with the perfect New Year’s Kiss, perfect wardrobes, and the list goes on. This is why the new year should be about YOU.
If you are still reading this post then that means something has resonated with you. All I am doing here is preaching self-love and finding that balance in your life that keeps you happy. This is easier said than done so there need to be a practical way to implement this. For me, that means more yoga, make The Blendie (this blog) bigger and better, know when to turn off and ultimately work harder than I did this year.
