We need to change the way we…
The start of this post is going to make me sound like a bit of a <insert your word of choice here> but that answer that came to mind when you read the title is probably not what I am talking about so just hang in there and read to the end, won’t ya?
Every day, or at some point in each day we find ourselves browsing through social media platforms and isn’t that a great thing to have recent news, comedy, vanity, information, literally everything is a scroll away.
With that said, why are we so cruel to each other? Trolling others for captions that express their opinions – You do not have to share the same opinion.
Body shaming those who share provocative photos and videos. Some might say the owner of the post is making a fool of himself or herself. Well, they are making a fool of THEMSELVES… not you.
Critiquing those who make spelling errors and correcting their grammar when their intentions were right. Who made you an English expert? Language is not a test of intelligence silly!!
Poking your nose into people’s personal lives, relationships…
Oh this girl is too skinny, this one is too fat, this one has a big nose.
She puts on too much makeup… is the makeup on your face? (Or lack thereof) She looks so basic without makeup.
The list to these comments goes on and on but if you don’t like what you see, the solution is simple. UNFOLLOW! Stop thinking in such a derogatory way. Body shaming and trolling shouldn’t be happening today.
This is dedicated to those who find strength in hiding behind a screen and typing a comment that leaves a woman feeling distraught by her own comment feed.
I know my forehead isn’t flawless but what does that have to do with you? I understand there are thick, dark circles under my eyes. My mum has those too and I find that endearing.
Get a life haters!! Not on our social media pages.
